Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of Direct Farm Sales, the successful candidate will be our Junior Farm Development Executive for the South Leinster Region.

 


The core role of the Junior Farm Development Executive is to build relationships with existing customers when dealing with renewal calls and to develop skills to sell our farm product to new customers, this will help build Zurich’s share of the farm sector in Ireland.  Supporting our eight farm business development managers. 

Your Role

•    Learn on the job about farm business development within Insurance taking on renewal calls and new business submissions.
•    Build a pipeline of leads taking an active role in managing the process for the team.
•    Learn to survey outbuildings for fire & storm cover with experienced farm development managers.
•    You will be required to participate in Farm Talks/Presentations, attend Agricultural shows and marts from time to time.
•    Build relationships across the Farming Community and with our current partners (DairyGold, ICMSA and FDC.
•    Represent the Zurich Brand to the Farming community.
•    Work with Head of Farm Direct Sales & Farm Business Development Managers.
•    Execute Sales & Distribution strategies that are aligned with business goals of GI.
•    Understand critical success factors and the distribution trends in the Agri Sector.
•    Use Sales & Distribution insights e.g. understanding the causes of Retention Leakage to enhance or extend, customer propositions, to improve profitability across the segment.
•    Feedback customer insights to the team and use these to continue to improve the customer experience.
•    This is not an exhaustive list of activities.

 

Success Measures
•    Customer feedback, retention levels & new business cases secured.
•    Provides relevant recommendations to Head of Farm Direct considering market trends and their implications for our business.
•    Best practices developed, shared and monitored. 

 

Your skills and Experience

 

Minimum Qualifications 

A minimum of 2 Grade C3/H5 at Higher Level in the Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) or FETAC Level 6 Diploma.
In line with Central Bank guidelines, the successful applicant will be required to sit the relevant Insurance Institute exams in order to achieve the necessary qualifications. 
Degree in agricultural Science preferable but not necessary.
CIP or working towards
In line with Central Bank guidelines, the successful applicant will be required to sit the relevant Insurance Institute exams in order to achieve the necessary qualifications.

 

Experience

Strong customer experience required.
Knowledge of Agri Industry preferable
Direct Insurer or Broker Experience an advantage.

Additional Inforamtion

Primary work location is Wexford. Position is Wexford based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
