Workforce Planning Analyst Dublin/Wexford

Job Summary

Zurich Insurance Europe AG, Ireland Branch is looking for a Workforce Planning Analyst to join the team in Blackrock or Wexford.

The Workforce Planning Analyst is responsible for workforce planning and management activities, including analysis to support effective staffing, capacity planning, and long-term resource strategies. The role plays a key part in ensuring the Personal Lines UW Ops function has the right people, with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time to meet business objectives and service level requirements.

This role may be available part-time or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.  Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

Your Role

As a Workforce Planning Analyst your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

 Workforce Planning & Forecasting

• Support the development, maintenance and refinement of short-, medium-, and long-term workforce plans aligned to business demand
• Support the production of staffing models and forecasts based on volume drivers, productivity assumptions, and strategic initiatives
• Monitor and analyse workforce supply and demand, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities.
• Support annual budgeting and headcount planning activities

 Data Analysis & Insight 

• Analyse workforce metrics such as headcount, attrition, absenteeism, capacity, productivity, adherence, utilisation and occupancy.
• Identify trends and provide actionable insights to senior leaders and operational teams.
• Produce regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across workforce planning inputs and outputs.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with internal teams to align workforce plans with business strategy.
• Translate complex data into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Support decision-making on recruitment, redeployment, overtime, outsourcing, and automation.

Process & Continuous Improvement

• Improve workforce planning tools, models, and processes to increase accuracy and efficiency
• Support scenario modelling and “what-if” analyses to assess business change impacts
• Contribute to automation and system enhancements where appropriate
• Maintain documentation of models, assumptions, and methodologies

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure workforce planning activities comply with internal governance, policies, and data protection requirements
• Support audits and reviews by maintaining clear, transparent data and assumptions

Your Skills & Experience

Essential

• Proven experience in forecasting, or a related analytical role.
• Experience working with large datasets and producing insights to support business decisions.
• Understanding of staffing drivers, productivity, and capacity concepts.

Desirable

• Experience in a contact centre, operations, or service-driven environment.
• Exposure to strategic workforce planning and scenario modelling.
• Knowledge of labour market trends and workforce analytics best practices.

Additional Information

Primary work location is Dublin or Wexford based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
