To complete the Finance team, we are looking for an Accountant/Finance Specialist who sees this chance as exciting opportunity working in Finance in a multinational company.

The Accountant/Finance Specialist ensures accurate, compliant, and timely financial accounting and reporting in line with IFRS 17, Swiss Local Statutory requirements, and Group policies. The role maintains strong balance sheet discipline, leads intercompany reconciliation activities, supports automation and process innovation, and contributes to strengthening the local control environment.

What you will do

  • Deliver FAR outputs aligned with IFRS 17 and Swiss Local GAAP requirements.
  • Execute ledger tasks: accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and journal postings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Group and local stakeholders.
  • Perform in depth analysis and reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Identify discrepancies, propose corrective actions, and maintain data accuracy.
  • Analyse Intercompany balances for assigned trading partners.
  • Investigate variances, track follow-up actions, and provide clear commentary.
  • Maintain Intercompany differences at a minimal and controlled level.
  • Support streamlining and automation of data gathering, analytics, and reporting.
  • Contribute to the transformation of manual processes into automated solutions.
  • Advocate for better data quality and enhanced reporting insights.
  • Execute Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) activities.
  • Uphold Group control standards and contribute to a strong control environment.
  • Participate in finance-related projects and local change implementations.
  • Support adoption of new tools, systems, and process improvements.

 

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Preferably a qualified accountant.
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting or finance experience—ideally insurance, banking, or external audit.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, IFRS 17, and statutory reporting.
  • Skilled in GL activities (accruals, provisions, reconciliations, postings).
  • Proficient in SAP; desirable experience with SQL, Access, or Power BI.
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.
  • Highly precise, structured, and detail-oriented.
  • Proactive mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Flexible and comfortable in a fast-changing environment.
