Business Analyst for Global Pricing Platform 80%-100%


Insurance Solutions within Business Technology Solutions seeks a Business Analyst for a Guidewire based solution to support a global, business critical application.


In this challenging role you will collaborate in a large team, primarily with other business analysts, developers, testers, and business stakeholders spread around the world to build, implement, operate, and maintain new underwriting pricing products across multiple Commercial Insurance lines of business.


Additionally, you will have the chance to work in an agile environment collaborating and communicating with peers and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation on a daily basis.  
What you will do

  • Elicit, analyze, specify, validate, and document detailed business requirements
  • Provide expertise and understand as-is and to-be processes as part of requirements elicitation
  • Create functional specifications
  • Identify issues, risks, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions
  • Manage all aspects for a given functional area and be a point of contact for the corresponding business and IT peers in the project
  • Conduct insightful, ad-hoc analyses to investigate operational issues
  • Participate in development of test plans, testing and implementation
  • Model business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements

What you bring

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in business, IT, or another analytical subject

  • Preferably 1-2 years in a similar role
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving and affinity for detail, design, quality, process
  • Strong Business Analysis/Requirements Engineering skills
  • Fast learning, self-motivated, proactive, and able to show initiative
  • Positive attitude with ability to adapt in a changing environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
  • Great communicator with a collaborative mindset
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with teams to solve business challenges
  • Experience in P&C insurance preferred
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
