Captive Pricing Actuary 80-100%

Are you ready for a unique and interesting actuarial pricing role? One where you are not limited to one individual line of business, but model various on a daily basis. Where you not only shape technical analysis, but also work directly with customers and brokers.  As a Captive Pricing & Consulting Actuary within our newly established International division at Zurich, you’ll play a pivotal role in modelling Captive cessions for many of Zurich’s largest customers. This is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on our Commercial Insurance business while growing together with a global, forward-looking team.

What you will do

As Captive Pricing & Consulting Actuary, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Non-Life Captive portfolio of continental Europe.
• Run complex calculations which drive the balance between meeting Captive customer expectations and capital and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in customer and broker discussions.
• Support the development of internal modelling tools.
  
  

What you bring

• Interest to qualify in an internationally recognized actuarial association (e.g., IFoA, SOA, DAV, SAA) or being already qualified.
• Ideally already experienced in the international insurance industry.
• Advanced problem-solving skills, decision-making and judgment skills with the ability to find practical solutions to complex problems, showing adaptability and taking personal ownership of delivery
• Advanced data literacy, analytics and visualization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English, both oral and written. German would be welcome.
• Programming experience and an interest to apply it. Knowledge in R should be given, other programming languages would be welcome.
