Captives Data & Reporting Manager 80-100%

124272

If you’re looking for a challenging role to move into in 2025 then we want to hear from you.

Are you ready to step into a high-impact role where data meets global strategy?

We’re seeking a Captive Data & Reporting Manager to help drive the future of risk analytics and reporting for our global captive fronting operations.

This isn’t just another reporting role — this is a pivotal position at the heart of our Captives business, acting as a bridge between local and global underwriting teams, actuarial, credit risk and compliance stakeholders, and Zurich Captives leadership. You’ll own, shape, and evolve the way we collect, interpret, and communicate data across markets, ensuring our reports are not just compliant, but clear, timely, and strategically valuable.

What you will do

  • Lead and evolve global Captives and Risk Sharing Solutions reporting frameworks — including compliance, regulatory, and standard operational reports for captive programs.
  • Be the primary data and reporting partner to the Head of Fronting and Group Head Captives, delivering insights and dashboards that empower strategic decision-making.
  • Act as a conduit between global Commercial Insurance teams, local business units, and underwriters, actuaries — ensuring smooth information flow and alignment on reporting needs.
  • Support the captive underwriting community with high-quality data, helping bring clarity to complex portfolios and structures.
  • Work closely with operations, finance, compliance, and risk to ensure robust, audit-ready reporting across all captive fronting arrangements.
  • Drive automation and efficiency in reporting — helping evolve how we present and extract value from data. Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules, and insurance laws and regulations.
  • Maintain reporting framework to define and track KPIs, variances, and trends against targets or past periods.
  • Collaborate with Captive Fronting Managers, Line of Business representatives and other business-related needs, as appropriate.
  • Review and approve Captive Cession payments against compliance requirements and contract terms and coordinate with Fronting Managers to resolve any transaction issues.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong background in data reporting, compliance, and/or insurance operations, ideally within a multinational or fronting/captive context.
  • Experience working with underwriting teams and knowledge of insurance structures (captive, reinsurance, or commercial).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders globally, delivering accurate reports and managing expectations.
  • Analytical mindset with a passion for storytelling through data.
  • Good knowledge of the insurance industry and business, experience handling legal, regulatory and compliance requirements in collaboration with SMEs.
  • Previous experience with Captive insurance transactions or holding an insurance market-facing role and comfortable in leading or participating in meetings with customers and brokers/agents/distributors will be an added advantage.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills in English and German and able to act with high degree of independence/take initiative— you’ll be working across functions, time zones, and cultures.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a growing, strategically important area of the business — Captives are a priority and you’ll be at the center of it.
  • Work with smart, collaborative captive colleagues across underwriting, multinational, actuarial, credit risk, and operations.
  • Autonomy and visibility: You’ll work directly with senior leaders and influence key decisions.
  • Global exposure with real room for growth.
  • If you love data, thrive in a cross-functional environment, and want to play a crucial role in shaping the future of our captives — we want to hear from you.
  • Apply now and take the lead in a new role where compliance meets strategy, and where your impact will be seen across the globe.
