Ceded Reinsurance Manager (100%)

Does shaping complex global reinsurance programs and partnering with senior stakeholders across the Group motivate you? As a Ceded Reinsurance Manager, you will take end‑to‑end ownership of highly complex ceded reinsurance treaties and help us deliver robust, innovative risk transfer solutions for Zurich globally.

What you will do

• Positioned as a business partner, develop, and align treaty reinsurance strategies, in conjunction with key stakeholders, to support our business strategy and plan.  This includes treaty structural optimization and defining scope of cover.
• Structure and negotiate highly complex ceded reinsurance treaties within your delegated underwriting authority.
• Design scope of cover, determine and refine contract wordings, and lead the end‑to‑end placement process with approved reinsurers.
• Coordinate and review exposure information and data submissions to ensure suitability for internal and external treaty pricing.
• Support reinsurance planning, treaty compliance and governance in line with Zurich Risk Policy and Group Reinsurance standards.
• Build, manage and strengthen relationships with reinsurers, brokers and key internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted expert and advisor.
  
  

What you bring

• Ability to build strong business partnering relationships within Zurich.
• Experience working across business units/functions and collaboration in a team environment.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in reinsurance, underwriting, or as a broker.
• Strong understanding of reinsurance contracts, and pricing concepts, with the ability to interpret and apply governance and risk policies.
• Proven track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external, (e.g. reinsurers, brokers, Business Units) and influencing decisions in an international environment.
• Excellent analytical and data skills, including the ability to review exposure information, support pricing and ensure data quality for decision‑making.Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
