The Group Business Resilience Manager is responsible for supporting the ongoing development of the Group Business Resilience Framework, which provides an overarching program and requirements for regions and countries in areas such as business continuity, operational resilience, incident and crisis management, and IT Service Management.

The Group Business Resilience team designs and manages the BR program and collaborates with Regions, Countries, and Group Functions to protect our customers’ and stakeholders’ interests by:

  • Anticipating and identifying potential threat scenarios to implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Identifying critical business services and management activities and ensuring the necessary capabilities are in place to protect and sustain these during operational stress or disruption.
  • Maintaining and developing a Crisis Management capability at Group, Regional, and local levels, ready to respond to incidents and crises in a coordinated manner.

The Group Business Resilience Manager supports and monitors the Business Resilience program across all organization locations, collaborating with stakeholders on various topics to enhance the maturity of Business Resilience.

What you will do

Act as a subject matter expert in the areas of business continuity, operational resilience, IT service management, and incident and crisis management, to support the development and maintenance of the Group BR program and implementation of BR at a country and regional level.

This will consist of:

  • Developing and enhancing the Business Resilience framework in collaboration with relevant functions and stakeholder globally, e.g., Regional BR Managers, Country BR Managers, Risk Officers, Third Party Managers, IT Service Managers, Information Security, Group Security.
  • Supporting the design and development of processes to achieve greater integration between the Business Resilience program and IT Service Management in topics such as IT service availability, resilience, and recovery strategies against service disruptions.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of training and awareness materials developed by the Group Business Resilience Team.
  • Supporting the development and ongoing maintenance of tools used to implement and monitor Business Resilience maturity in countries.  
  • Supporting the improvement and deployment of the Crisis Management Framework and methodologies (e.g. plans,  playbooks etc.) globally.
  • Supports the Head of Business Resilience in the preparation and facilitation of Crisis Management exercises for the Group Crisis Management Team.
  • Playing a key role in the management of real crisis situations by coordinating and managing actions taken by the Group Crisis Management Team.

What you bring

  • Master’s Degree in Business or Risk Management, Information Technology, Information Security (or equivalent professional qualification).
  • 4-5 years of experience with solid knowledge of Business Resilience that includes business continuity, IT service continuity and cyber resilience, third party management and crisis management.
  • Good understanding of Operational Resilience and BCM regulations (e.g., Operational Resilience in the UK, DORA in the EU).
  • Insurance business knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
  • Good listening and analytical skills.
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations to senior executives.
  • Fluency in English is a must, other language is a plus.
