Head of Zurich Capability Centres 100% (Zurich, Switzerland)
Global Business & Operations (GBO) is the unit within Zurich responsible for global Travel and Cyber business, together with Zurich’s Global Operations, including Group Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Corporate Center Facilities Management and Zurich Capability Centers (ZCC)/ global shared services centers. Within Global Operations our goal is on the one side, to reduce expenses, and on the other side, to standardize and improve the quality provided and allow us all to increase our efficiency and benefit from these shared services.
Reporting to the CEO GBO, a newly created Head of ZCC role will drive transformation and management of Zurich’s global shared services centers.
What you will do
- Develop and execute the overarching strategy for ZCCs, driving greater enterprise adoption, standardization, location optimisation, scalability, and cross-centre governance.
- Oversee operational performance and change management for ZCC operations across multiple countries, providing leadership to ZCC Heads and their extended teams (IT, Finance, HR, Strategy, Assurance).
- Lead transformational change by designing a future-fit shared services model strategy, considering additional front/middle/back-office process migration, together with the impact of AI.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders, external partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Continually advocate for enterprise expansion and optimal placement of services through the strategic expansion of ZCC offerings to additional Zurich’s country Business Units.
- Foster collaboration and resilience between centres, breaking down silos and building capability redundancy.
- Ensure consistent regulatory and compliance adherence across all centres.
What you bring
- Degree in Business, Finance or a related field.
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in transformational global shared services (strategy, design, set-up, and governance of complex multi-tower operations).
- Proven track record of driving enterprise change, building scalable service models, and leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing large teams across multiple geographies.
- Understanding of property and facility management, including technical operations, supplier management, and workplace transformation.
- Knowledge of compliance, regulatory requirements, and risk management in a global shared service context.
- Ability to develop and execute change narratives, advocate for strategic expansion, and influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to craft and communicate change narratives, advocate for expansion, and influence senior stakeholders.
- Future-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation, including AI and automation.
- Strong financial planning and budgeting skills to manage the cost and budget of operations.
