Lead Fronting Manager (Germany & Austria) and Strategic Business Initiatives for Captives 80-100%

Zurich Captives is seeking an outstanding professional to join our global team as Lead Fronting Manager for Germany and Austria, while also serving as Strategic Business Partner to the Group Head of Captives. This is an opportunity to drive strategy, lead cross board operation and be at the forefront of innovation in the commercial insurance space.

What you will do
- Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules, and insurance laws and regulations.
- Lead Fronting Manager for Germany and Austria-region. Serve as key contact for assigned target market. Develop, maintain & collaborate with Line of Business representatives and other business-related needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with distributors (agents & brokers) in support of business acquisition and retention and work with customers and distributors to determine their insurance related needs and provide solutions.
- Complete detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors to identify growth opportunities.
- Qualify accounts to meet the organization's appetite, balanced with sound business opportunity.
- Make broker/customer and on-sight calls with a planned and well-prepared purpose.
- Cross-sell other lines of business to increase the organization's product density with the account.
- Promote the Zurich's products and services to increase penetration with agency plant.
- Strategic Partner to Group Head Captives: facilitating strategic planning, decision-making, and execution across Zurich Captives.
- Shape the business strategy and transformation agenda of Zurich Captives, ensuring alignment across global markets.
- Lead or support key strategic initiatives, including innovation, growth acceleration, and operational transformation.
- Develop executive-level materials, presentations, and briefing notes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Be the central content hub for the Captive Leadership team, ensuring clarity, continuity, and strategic alignment across all Captive-related activities.
What You Bring
- A completed university degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in, project management, strategy consulting, or insurance, ideally with exposure to commercial or captive insurance.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as strategic advisor, working directly with C-level executives and managing cross functional initiatives.
- Strong relevant knowledge of the insurance industry, ideally within one or more functional disciplines, such as underwriting, actuarial, multinational or claims. Previous experience with captive (re)insurance transactions, captive management or holding an insurance market-facing role and comfortable in leading or participating in meetings with customers and brokers/agents/distributors and C-suite will be an added advantage.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills and a solutions and strategic storytelling.
- High degree of independence, initiative and executive presence.
- Full professional proficiency in German and English.
