As a Lead .NET Software Engineer, you augment a high profile team of business analysts, solution architects and developers working on a strategic projects for Commercial Insurance International Programs. You will be the responsible lead developer for globally used systems which are providing or are going to provide functionality for various capabilities throughout the commercial insurance process, including underwriting, pricing, issuance, and servicing.

What you will do
  
As a Lead .NET Software Engineer, you will:

• Be responsible to design and develop solutions required to meet business needs with focus on web-bases and cloud-based / cloud-native applications.

• Take the technical lead of a team with internal and external vendors / suppliers from kick-off to roll-out and closely cooperate with business analysts, IT architects and the project manager.  

• Have a deep understanding of business requirements, and how to best build the required application components.

• Support troubleshooting & defect analysis

• Provide formal and informal leadership and direction to other IT program/project IT members and stakeholders.  

• Ensure that Zurich IT security standards are adhered to within architectural design documents. 

• Ensure solution-related quality, performance, availability, scalability, integrity and compliance with overall enterprise principles, policies, and standards.  

• Collaborate with the business analysts and other developers to work collectively towards an efficient solution.

  
What you bring 
  
As a Lead .NET Software Engineer your skills and experience ideally include:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology with 5 or more years of experience

• Proven track record of successful development projects, demonstrating expertise in delivering scalable and reliable solutions. 

• Proficient in the current .NET stack 

• Proficient with Azure PaaS stack 

• Proficient DevOps tooling (Azure)

• Effective communication and negotiation skills 

• Collaborative and team focused mindset.

• Ability to adapt to changing demands and conditions by prioritization and managing timelines.

• Excellent analytical skills coupled with a conscientious and structured approach. 

• Working experience in agile project methodologies. 

• Very good English skills are a must, written and spoken.

• German as 2nd language is an advantage.
