131009

Are you motivated by the prospect of deepening insight and promoting sustainable growth for key life KPIs? In this role within Group Actuarial, you’ll be part of the Life Business Partnering Team, collaborating with regional life actuarial teams and other corporate centre functions to drive impactful actuarial initiatives. If supporting business partnering activity and playing an integral role in influential projects excites you, this is your chance to make a real difference.

Guided by Zurich’s values of togetherness and forward-thinking, you’ll foster close collaboration with regional teams, actively contribute to initiatives that drive favourable reporting results, and help create sustainable success.

What you will do

  • Under guidance of the head of the Business Partnering team and in collaboration with the Regional Actuarial Teams, deliver actuarial support for analyses, initiatives and projects being driven by the regional teams.
  • Provide high-quality actuarial insights to management and other corporate centre functions for the region (and countries therein) for which you are the key point of coordination, across projects, non-BAU business topic and BAU reporting.
  • Actively support initiatives to deliver enhanced actuarial insight for senior management, including developing increased benefits from data analytics, with a focus on producing analytics at all levels of Group, Region and Country level to facilitate efficient reporting and maximise the clarity and quality of the financial reporting outputs.
  • In collaboration with the regional teams, contribute to the timely delivery of regional reporting requirements for IFRS and perform BAU review of country submissions of other bases, mainly SST.
  • Develop deep knowledge of products, reporting requirements and local regulations for those countries for which you are the key point of coordination in order to deliver on the above objectives.

What you bring

  • Experienced or recently qualified actuary with at least 5 years of practical experience as a Life actuary, with a substantial portion spent working in actuarial reserving, reporting or modelling.

  • Strong IFRS 17 knowledge and hands-on experience with the Building Block and Variable Fee Approaches
  • Experience and skillset in data analytics, data management and data visualization techniques.
  • A mindset for delivering actionable business insight and ability to handle complex actuarial topics while working under pressure.
  • A commercial focus with the ability to adapt to the perspectives of different stakeholders.
