Risk Manager (Non-financial Risks), 80-100%

As a Risk Manager for Non-Financial risk types at the Group level, you will play a key role in implementing governance processes, providing analysis, and supporting policy development, making a real difference across the Group. You’ll have the opportunity to grow by engaging with diverse teams and leading meaningful risk initiatives - guided by our values of reliability and forward-thinking. 

What you will do 

• Contribute to the production of non-financial risk policies, standards, instructions, guidance, and other governance documents. 

• Perform Group level scoping, review and other local oversight activities. 

• Develop and implement non-financial risk management processes in line with policy requirements. 

• Perform analysis and communicate insights on non-financial risk topics. 

• Lead responses to audit activities, including supervisory inspections. 

• Support activities relating to the Group Risk Appetite and Tolerance Statement. 

• Review and challenge the assessment of control deficiencies and adequacy of remediation initiatives. 

• Communicate guidance and provide training on Group relevant non-financial risk matters. 

What you bring 

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (engineering, commerce, economics, finance). 

• Prior experience in core insurance business functions such as underwriting, claims is an asset. 

• Solid understanding of operational risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices including knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk assessment and mitigation techniques, and risk reporting frameworks. 

• Self-starter with a positive and can-do attitude. 

• Highly disciplined and strong focus on execution and delivery.  

• Able to manage challenging deadlines. 

• Proactive, driven, action, and results oriented. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
