To support this ambition, Group Finance is launching the implementation of SAP Group Reporting Public Cloud, which is a key project within Finance Transformation.
We are looking for a SME Master Data Management/Accounting. The role will provide expert guidance on accounting and master data management for the SAP Group Reporting implementation. The SME ensures that charts of accounts, FS items, organisational structures, and other key master data are correctly designed, governed and maintained, so that SAP Group Reporting supports accurate Group Consolidation reporting.
What you will do
- Define and validate Group chart of accounts, FS items, consolidation units, segments, and other master data required for SAP Group Reporting
- Ensure master data structures support Group GAAP and Plan/Forecast requirements
- Design and document master data governance (roles, processes, approval workflow, data ownership).
- Support set up of ongoing master data maintenance processes and controls
- Lead mapping of local charts of accounts and entities to Group structures and SAP Group Reporting master data.
- Work with local finance teams to resolve mapping issues, gaps and duplicates.
- Support remediation of data quality issues identified during test cycles and early closes.
- Capture and challenge business requirements related to accounting structures and master data.
- Contribute to test case design for SIT/UAT focusing on master data, mappings and accounting logic.
Participate in test execution and provide functional sign off on master data setup and accounting behaviour in SAP Group Reporting.
Facilitate workshops on master data, mappings, and accounting topics.

What you bring
- Strong background in Group Accounting / Group Reporting (IFRS essential; local GAAP an advantage).
- Experience with SAP Group Reporting or other SAP based consolidation / reporting solutions (e.g. S/4HANA Finance, BPC, BW/4HANA).
- Practical experience in master data management in a finance context (governance, processes, controls).
- Bachelor or Master in Finance or Finance/IT
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and data quality.
- Ability to translate accounting requirements into system and data design, and to explain complex topics in simple language..
- Experience in planning, tracking and delivering milestones, managing risks and dependencies.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Experience with SIT/UAT, test case definition and defect management.
- Exposure to change management and handover to BAU (training, manuals, support processes).
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Experience working in complex, global programmes, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong collaboration skills and a “one team” attitude, supporting both Finance and IT colleagues.
