How you will make an impact

 

As a Senior Audit Manager within ZGV, you will primarily oversee the delivery of 20 audits and build business relationships with global stakeholders withing ZGV to understand the business risks and develop the Audit Plan with the support of the Audit Lead. The role will include to present regular updates to Management and relevant Committees, and you will report to the Audit Lead Group Technology and Operations and Zurich Global Ventures. 

 

Your main responsibilities will involve:

 

  • Driving with the overall ZGV risk assessment and audit planning and, determining the right audit scope, key risks to be addressed and most suitable audit techniques and approaches alongside the Audit Lead
  • Keeping the business safe by overseeing the execution of a portfolio of audit engagements end-to-end, including global audits across different regions within the ZGV space (including a mix of Life and Pension, protection and savings products, Life Reinsurance, Life Insurance operation, claims and underwriting and life distribution, including new business proposition and distribution)
  • Being involved in execution of more complex audit engagements
  • Creating a collaborative and supportive team environment while overseeing the quality of outcomes
  • Guiding, coaching, and supervising the work of the team throughout the audit engagement
  • Influencing senior leaders in the Zurich Global Ventures space through strong relationships and insights and acting as a strategic partner for the Audit Lead
  • Identifying themes and trends, systemic/emerging issues and sharing insights with senior ZGV and Group stakeholders across the globe as well as well as supporting reporting into Group and relevant local Boards and Audit Committees
  • Contributing to the Group Audit global team through sharing own technical knowledge and engaging in our continuous training program

 

Your skills and experience

 

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of experience in Internal Audit 
  • Relevant experience at a senior level role in financial services; insurance or insure-tech is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of Life insurance products, corporate pension and employee benefits
  • Experience in tech/ digital and start-ups is an advantage
  • Strong understanding and applicability of audit and / or business risk management and control processes
  • Proven record of working with and influencing executive/ senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success in business, functional and people management
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to organize teams, prioritize tasks, guide and coach the team to deliver on time to high quality standards
  • Experience leading teams through change collaborative, flexible, persistent, and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization, managing and motivating diverse and multi-disciplinary teams
