Senior Compliance Expert - Dealing in Securities, Anti-Trust & Fair Competition, temporary 6 months
As a member of the Compliance team, you will play a key role in delivering the Compliance mandate to Zurich’s Group Functions, with a particular focus on Dealing in Securities well as Anti-Trust and Fair Competition. In support of Zurich’s strategic priorities, you will enable business and functional stakeholders to pursue their objectives in a compliant manner by providing pragmatic advice, helping to embed a strong compliance culture and independently assessing, monitoring and challenging compliance risks.
The role holder is responsible for contributing to the development, implementation and continuous enhancement of the compliance framework across the relevant businesses and functions, with a primary focus on Dealing in Securities, including relevant SIX requirements, as well as Anti-Trust and Fair Competition. This includes helping to establish fit-for-purpose guidance, supporting consistent implementation and working closely with a broad range of stakeholders within and outside Group Compliance at group, regional and local level.
As a trusted advisor, you will combine subject-matter expertise with sound judgment, curiosity, adaptability and a collaborative mindset, translating regulatory and ethical requirements into practical, business-relevant solutions.
Your role
As a Senior Compliance Expert – Dealing in Securities, Anti-Trust and Fair Competition, your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the maintenance and continuous enhancement of a robust and effective compliance framework, with a primary focus on Dealing in Securities, relevant SIX requirements, Anti-Trust and Fair Competition.
- Providing expert compliance advice, input and guidance on personal account dealing, information barriers, market conduct, relevant SIX requirements, anti-trust and fair competition topics to business stakeholders and the Compliance network across group, regional and local level.
- Developing and enhancing guidance, reporting, assessment approaches, training and awareness materials, and supporting their effective implementation across the organization in a pragmatic, engaging and business-relevant way
- Supporting the interpretation and application of internal requirements and external regulatory expectations relating to employee securities transactions, conflicts of interest, watch and restricted list controls, and competition law risks.
- Collaborating closely with other assurance and control functions, including Legal, Risk and Audit, to support coherent and effective management of relevant compliance risks.
- Acting as a trusted partner to local and regional Compliance officers and supporting consistent interpretation and application of requirements across jurisdictions and business contexts.
- Engaging with senior stakeholders across Group Functions, understanding business models, products, processes and transformation initiatives, and contributing to compliant and sustainable outcomes.
- Contributing to oversight, monitoring and assurance activities in the relevant areas of expertise, including the identification, assessment and escalation of material issues where appropriate.
- Participating in and supporting strategic projects, regulatory change initiatives and cross-functional programmes relevant to the role’s area of expertise, with agility in responding to evolving business, regulatory and technology developments.
Your Skills and Experience
As a Senior Compliance Expert – Dealing in Securities, Anti-Trust and Fair Competition, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Dealing in Securities, securities compliance, market conduct, Anti-Trust, Fair Competition or broader compliance or legal roles, ideally within a complex and international environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, industry standards and emerging developments, in particular in relation to employee securities transactions, market conduct, relevant SIX requirements, Anti-Trust and Fair Competition.
- University degree in law,; an advanced degree or additional relevant qualifications would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex matters, exercise sound judgment, demonstrate learning agility and intellectual curiosity, and translate requirements into practical guidance.
- Ability to provide clear management information and deliver concise, high-quality reporting for different stakeholder groups.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and stakeholder management skills, including credibility and confidence in working with senior management and cross-functional teams, and the ability to build trusted relationships across functions, cultures and levels of seniority.
- Ability to prioritize effectively, navigate complexity, work independently and deliver to a high standard in a dynamic international environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
- Good command of standard productivity and collaboration tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint and Microsoft 365.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential with addition language being an advantage.
This is a 6-month fixed-term role to provide additional capacity and subject-matter support in Dealing in Securities and Anti-Trust and Fair Competition.
