Senior Technology Strategy Manager - GTO 80-100%

Group Information and Digital Strategy(GIDS) team within Group Technology & Operations (GTO) is seeking a senior technology strategy manager, who is experienced and passionate to plan/drive the technology strategy by leveraging your business-oriented insights, problem-solving skills and hands-on practice in FinTech domain, to support Group Technology & Operations’ strategy and transformation, to address short and long-term roadmap horizontally and also to deep dive vertically with strategy execution solutions.

 

What you will do
 
•    Lead/support the development from IT modernization and digital strategy to agile, cloud and digital business building.
•    Develop technology strategies to help IT modernization with roadmap that identifies, designs, and implements technology solutions from application to architecture, by partnering with GTO leaders/ Business Unit leaders to supports our short term and long-term goals
•    Deliver your insights and recommendation that may have an impact on the successful accomplishments of longer-term projects while you are keeping informed of external forces impacting the insurance industry 
•    In addition to elaborate your focused capability in IT modernization and technology strategies, you could also join together with other teammates in GIDS if you are passionate and experienced to enable digitalization and emerging models to boost our business aspirations, and engage in key strategic projects for GTO
•    Interacting with Senior Executives and key stakeholders to discuss project outcomes and contribute to the successful implementation
•    Builds strong relationships with internal key executives and strategy development stakeholders, and external strategic partners.

 

What you will bring


•    Master's degree, preferably in engineering, science or another technical or related field; advanced degree or MBA is advantageous
•    7+ years of post-university technology- and strategy-related experience, in a consulting firm for financial clients, or a FinTech company or a high performing IT/Digital corporate department, at least 3 years of experience managing large technology engagements (min. of 2 full life cycle implementations)
•    Excellent technical understanding of key areas in Financial Services (incl. Insurance industry)  and the technologies transforming them (digital strategy/transformation, IT infrastructure & architecture, IoT, e-commerce, AI/machine learning, robotics, cloud, big data and analytics, cyber security, multichannel banking, blockchain, agile and DevOps and process automation)
•    Combines strategic and analytical insights with a passion for technology
•    Good sensitivity on numbers and financial forecast
•    Proven record of leadership in a work setting, solving complex problems and developing creative and structured solutions with substantial value result
•    Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate/facilitate effectively with people at all levels in an organization
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German/Chinese is an advantage)
