Audit Director - IT 80%-100%

We are looking for an experienced Audit Director with responsibility for the Information Technology (IT) audit center of excellence as well for delivering a portfolio of key IT audits to the Group. 

This role will have a Global focus and interactions across all levels throughout Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. Working with the Functional Audit Lead - Group Technology and Operations / Zurich Global Ventures, in your role you will be responsible for driving excellence in the IT audit space across the function.  You will work with a global network of IT auditors, continuously develop and evolve deep technical skills and capabilities as technologies evolve, as well as continuing to build a strong culture of collaboration and community. You will work to develop IT capabilities within the wider audit function, through ongoing upskilling.  You will be responsible for successfully delivering a portfolio of IT audits as well as driving our strategic priorities to become the best Internal Audit function we can be, for Zurich and for our people. 
You will be responsible for developing strong and influential relationships with senior leaders at our corporate center and working in partnership with Regional Audit Leaders to develop equivalent relationships across our regions.

What you will do

•    Work with Functional and Regional Audit Executive as well as country / legal entity heads of audit to perform a quarterly risk assessment and develop and shape the audit plan in line with key risks and trends, ensuring appropriate coverage across the group
•    Oversee a portfolio of high complex portfolio of audits  (in terms of number/scope) and global thematic reviews (on an end to end basis) in line with quality, time and budget requirements
•    Provide subject matter expertise and/or drive the right level of insight and involvement from IT auditors across audit processes, including scoping, audit reports and critical stakeholder meetings
•    Lead the global centre of excellence of Information Technology Audit to continuously grow deep capabilities in Information Technology/ IT Security and drive the development of Group Audit global team through development of skills and technical knowledge
•    Ensure appropriate resourcing and technical expertise for delivery of assigned portfolio
•    Oversee relevant tracking and closure of agreed actions
•    Identify trends and themes patterns in results and support influencing key stakeholders in broader actions as well as reporting themes to Group and Local Executives and Audit Committees. Provide technical input into Control environment reporting
•    Support Business Audit Leaders in stakeholder discussions and develop strong and influential peer relationships with Business and IT stakeholders across the group
•    Support key strategic goals of Group Audit such as upskilling auditors on the skills of the future
•    Build technical / commercial knowledge and industry awareness across a range of areas by accessing diverse resources and interacting with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
•    Oversee the performance of team members assigned (career management responsibilities) and take necessary actions to support their development


What you bring

•    Bachelor/ Masters degree (or equivalent) 
•    Professional certification, such as CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM or equivalent
•    Minimum 10-12 years of relevant experience in auditing Information Technology,  and –2-4 years holding senior roles at a director level, or 10 or more years in Information Technology  management or IT Risk Management at an director level or equivalent
•    Significant knowledge and competence of IT and Data Analytics skills 
•    Experience in Third Party Management Audits, Outsourcing Audits
•    Experience in the Finance Industry, specifically Insurance is an advantage
•    Knowledge of controls around technology management including new technology (Robotics, API, Cloud, Data Loss Prevention, Cyber is a plus 
•    A good track record in implementing change and transformation, as well implementing a learning culture in a flat hierarchy
•    Being able to develop and implement methodology required to deliver excellent audit outcomes and the skills and competencies required in a team to be able to deliver quality, impactful and insightful audit reports
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills
•    Ability to work without close supervision and to take decisions autonomously, subject to verification 
•    Experience within complex, global organizations and virtual teams, as well outsourced services
•    Ability to work customer focused, collaborative, flexible, persistent and results-oriented
•    Adapting successfully to changing demands and conditions while being able to plan and organize workload effectively under pressuring commitments
•    Excellent relationship management skills 
•    Fluent written and spoken English skills, German a plus
