TCFD Reporting Expert 80-100%

We’re looking for an expert on TCFD to join our Group Sustainability Reporting team. This role supports our Group-wide sustainability targets tracking, accounting, and reporting by compiling data across the organization for various internal and external reporting needs and overseeing data validation processes, mainly in the area of TCFD. The candidate needs to thrive in ambiguity, be passionate at puzzle-solving, enjoy working with details and also deliver through others. The ability to multi-task, work under tight timelines, prioritize tasks, keep highly organized, and work well independently and with various partners is critical.

 

What you will do

 

You’ll be working with several experts and teams across the organization regularly, performing a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Execute peer analysis and critically assess external disclosure against different sustainability reporting frameworks mainly on TCFD; support on other frameworks such as SASB, GRI, and WEF IBC’s Stakeholder capitalism metrics.
  • Play a role in external forums and discussions to bring business perspectives to the standard setters and expert groups.
  • Provide project management to TCFD production cycle and provide guidelines
  • Perform and write the planet chapter in our Integrated Sustainability Disclosure (ISD) which includes the TCFD
  • Support assessing impacts of moving to new frameworks, such as ISSB
  • Assist program managers with research, business cases, meeting preparation, workshops and presentations with opportunities to facilitate sessions and present work
  • Support employee engagement and change management activities and communications

You will report to the Head of Sustainability Reporting. You’ll liaise daily with a variety of internal business functions, including Group Sustainability, Underwriting, Operations, Investment Management, Risk and with teammates that have varying degrees of Sustainability and/or data governance experience. You’ll also work closely with external service providers. People appreciate your ability to be resourceful in the face of ambiguity, accept challenges, and find solutions.


What you will bring

 

  • Master’s degree with a focus on Sustainability or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience working with TCFD reporting, metrics, standards, or guidance. Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Experience in problem solving and story telling. Experience in consulting is a plus.
  • Pragmatic problem solver that can cope with imperfect world
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized, flexible, self-starter who can prioritize among many competing works demands
  • Demonstrated talent for systems thinking with the proven ability to work outside of core area of expertise
  • Limitless curiosity and analytical skills creatively tailored to meet the needs of each project
  • English fluent in written and spoken
