You have been asked to provide tech support for an important hybrid meeting involving the company’s board members. You performed a full tech run earlier and everything worked no problem. It is a closed meeting, so you are then asked to leave the room.

 

You start the call and leave. The meeting starts. Suddenly one of the board member’s assistants tell you that the board member is in the lobby and waiting to be admitted into the call. You were told that the lobby function had been disabled. The panel to admit them is in the room, and you are not allowed to enter. This is an important meeting. 

 

What is your reaction? Are you questioning if the call settings were correct? Can you quickly diagnose the issue and suggest a solution? 

 

Lot of scenarios will be running through your head very quickly, but fundamentally, are you calm? If yes, then you are the person we are looking for to join our team. This is an extreme, but a possible scenario, the day-to-day business isn’t like this because of the procedures, SOPs and backups we have in place. Can you help us maintain and evolve them?

 

The hours are regular but flexible, some events and calls start early, some will finish later. You will work in an environment that encourages innovation and gives you the opportunity to discuss and brainstorm assigned tasks end-to-end.

What you will do

 

  • The role will rotate between the Corporate Center HQ and the Zurich Development Center (a short tram ride away)
  • You will support, manage and maintain the Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) infrastructure, ranging from meeting rooms to the boardroom.
  • You will operate the sound and lighting boards, PTZ cameras, GFX board, vision mixer, and monitor the stream for live events in both auditoriums as part of the crew.
  • You will ensure the security of all MTR devices and peripherals, ensure they are up-to-date and create documentation
    as well as training for first-level support and end users
  • You will support clients and stakeholders to ensure audio, video, media sharing (PPT, video etc.) and MS Teams calls are all working for their meetings. 

 


What you bring

 

  • Experience with C-level clients
  • Experience operating behind the scenes tech in a fast-paced live environment such as theatre, events and broadcast.
  • Experience in the field of AV technology, IT support and/or project work
  • Experience of administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and the Teams Rooms admin center.
  • Experience recommending and integrating AV or IT hardware.
  • Knowledge of network technology, Windows operating systems and AV hardware (Logitech,
    Poly, Crestron, Yealink etc.)
  • Initiative to anticipate potential issues in the immediate or not too distant future and plan safeguards or backups.
  • Experience with Dante 
  • Calm under pressure.
  • Fluent in English and conversational in German (English is the lingua franca)
