You will be working on market and credit risk topics, analyse financial data, implement system changes in close collaboration with team members in a truly international environment. You foster positive working relationships with peers as well as with colleagues at all organizational levels. Administrative support will take about 25% of your working time.
This role offers high learning potential as you will have the opportunity to interact with senior experts on a variety of financial risk topics while being empowered to bring a fresh perspective and present your own ideas.
What you will do
- Enhance market and credit risk management capabilities to generate superior insights (incl. implementation in Power BI).
- Support the team in market and credit risk reviews.
- Contribute to the enhancement of risk monitoring tools and methodologies.
- Support the credit risk data quality framework: in ensuring data controls function appropriately and data is managed across functions including investment management, credit insurance, reinsurance, treasury.
- Ensure data controls function appropriately, and data is managed across functions.
- Daily support Zurich's global counterparty risk management activities.
- Improve and maintain Zurich’s global credit risk database.
- Provide proactive and efficient administrative support to the Head of Financial Risk Governance incl. proactive calendar management (on 25%, fluctuating according to business needs).
What you bring
- Enrollment in a university (during the whole duration of the position) in a master degree program or about to complete a bachelor degree, preferably in economics, quantitative finance, data sciences or related fields.
- Passion for economics and investments. Solid understanding of financial products and financial statements.
- Experience with large datasets and market data.
- Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel. Experience with Bloomberg, Power BI, R or other programming languages is a distinct advantage.
- Strong proactiveness, high degree of independence and a “can-do” attitude.
- Effective communication, excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent English speaker (written and spoken), other languages would be of advantage
- Based in Switzerland.
