What you will do

• Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and simplification
• Experiment with large language models and AI tools to automate reporting, data processing and workflows
• Design, prototype and iterate GenAI powered solutions to reduce manual workload and improve efficiency
• Collaborate with stakeholders to map requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Contribute to Zurich’s digital transformation and sustainability initiatives

What you bring

• Enrolment in a University or institute of higher education for the duration of the position is mandatory
• Hands-on experience with GenAI (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.) through projects, coursework or self driven learning
• A proactive, experimental mindset and willingness to learn new AI tools quickly
• Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, and process analysis skills
• Experience with or interest in process mapping and optimization tools is a plus
• Skilled with MS Office applications; familiarity with SharePoint, Power Automate
• Fluent written and spoken English is essential; proficiency in German is beneficial
• You must be located in Switzerland
