Improving Mental Wellbeing (IMW) is one of the key priorities of the Z Zurich Foundation, with programs for in 30+ countries. Through a prevention-, promotion-, and impact-driven approach, the Foundation collaborates with public, private, and non-profit stakeholders to implement scalable programs and system change initiatives. 


What you will do

  • Program design and coordination.
  • Co-steer the development and monitoring of Zurich-led youth mental wellbeing grants.
  • Drive the adaptation, roll-out and distribution of thematic resources for IMW partners/peers.
  • Support advocacy plans implementation to amplify the impact of IMW programs.
  • Onboard IMW partners in a new digital grant management system.
  • Engagement activities.
  • Steer the implementation and scaling of the IMW community of practice.
  • Engage with IMW partners to collect impact-proof points and generate people-oriented stories.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to best promote youth mental wellbeing (e.g. via digital solutions, volunteering opportunities).
  • Connect to Zurich functions to design joint solutions promoting youth mental wellbeing for internal and external audiences.  


What you bring 

  • Proficient knowledge of, and proven experience in, project management cycle (program design, impact measurement, evaluation).
  • Experience in NGOs and/or corporate sector as project coordinator for human-centered initiatives.
  • Experience steering mental wellbeing, protection, resilience and/or youth-focused programs.
  • Capacity to successfully manage multi-stakeholder (public and private sector) initiatives.
  • Ability to shape and manage request for proposal (e.g. coordinate partner sourcing, design, select, and coordination).
  • Experience in engaging with multi-disciplinary teams and organizations in a professional, clear, and responsive manner.
  • Ability to exercise sound critical judgement and provide technical feedback.
  • Passion to build innovative concepts to drive impact at scale.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Another language is a plus.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively in a timely basis.
  • Good stress management in a crisis context.
  • Proficient PC User (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Self-sufficiency, autonomy, proactivity.
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural setting.

Education and experience

  • Degree in social sciences and/or experience in roles promoting mental wellbeing.
  • First confirmed experiences in youth programming, community engagement and/or full cycle project management roles with NGOs, UN agencies and/or private sector’s functions related to sustainability, philanthropy or community engagement.
  • Experience in adapting global frameworks to local contexts.
