Zurich Benelux Insurance is currently looking for an Underwriting Service Specialist Domestic for the Underwriting Service Department. The opportunity

As an Underwriting Service Specialist you are an important part of our effort to provide the best service to our customers. You are tasked with the correct administration of domestic insurance policies (data collection and issuance of insurance policies). This concerns standard insurance policies issued in The Benelux for all Lines of Business. In this role you will be working closely with different internal and external stakeholders such as: Underwriting, Claims, Risk Engineering, Finance, Relationship management teams, Brokers/Customers, Co-insurers and Reinsurers as well as colleagues within UWS Benelux to ensure process excellence and timely delivery. You access various systems to coordinate the Insurance program, input data and compile information and reports for both internal and external customers. Together with your colleagues you ensure a timely administration of insurance policies and work on process optimization where necessary.

What will you be doing?

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

The Underwriting Service Specialist is responsible for the qualitative and timely administration of standard insurance policies:

KEY TASKS
 

  • Data collection and preparation of policies (for new business and business renewal)
  • Policy issuance according to SLA’s agreed between Underwriting (UWR) and Underwriting service (UWS)
  • Servicing of all Lines of Business where Zurich Benelux is active on its local market
  • Data registration into local IT systems
  • Identification of areas in need of improvement and suggestion of solutions to colleagues and UWS manager
  • Participation in projects depending on the business needs while ensuring alignment with UWS Manager
     

COMMUNICATION
 

  • Internal communication with colleagues within UWS Benelux
  • Internal communication with Underwriting, Claims, Risk Engineering, Finance and Relationship management teams
  • External communication with Brokers and Customers, Co-Insurers and Reinsurers
     

POLICY DATA REGISTRATION
 

  • Completion of entries regarding domestic policies
  • Register exposure, coverage data and policy information
  • Maintain exposure data and policy information during policy period
  • Issue policy and invoice
     

What are we looking for?
 

  • Knowledge of / Experience in insurance administration is a plus
  • Strong communicator. Ideally you speak fluent Dutch and French. To ensure a smooth integration at least a basic knowledge of Dutch is preferred. You have at least a passive knowledge of English
  • IT minded: ability to adopt new systems easily and good knowledge of MS Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Team player, both able to work independently and with your team
  • Service-minded and pro-active attitude
  • Multitasking capabilities combined with the right balance between accuracy and efficiency
  • Stress-resistant, responsible and not afraid of working with deadlines
  • Critical and constructive mindset: open for feedback and Lean way of working
  • Eager to learn with a flexible approach to business change
