As a Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in helping Zurich deliver accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting across the business. Working within the Life Insurance & Financial Reporting team, you’ll partner with a broad range of stakeholders and contribute to finance projects that support business growth, operational excellence and our ongoing digital transformation. You will also be responsible for the following:

 

  • Lead and support finance projects that enhance financial reporting and drive innovation
  • Deliver accurate month end activities, reconciliations and financial control processes
  • Contribute to internal and external financial reporting in line with group and regulatory requirements
  • Build strong partnerships with finance and business stakeholders across the organisation
  • Support financial governance activities, audits and compliance obligations
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes and ways of working

You’re a proactive and collaborative finance professional who enjoys working across teams to solve problems and improve outcomes. You bring a continuous improvement mindset, communicate confidently with stakeholders and take ownership of delivering high-quality results in a changing environment.

 

To be successful, you will have the following:

 

  • Experience in financial accounting, reporting and month end processes
  • Strong capability in statutory and regulatory accounting environments
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data
  • Experience supporting or delivering finance related projects and business initiatives
  • Working knowledge of SAP general ledger systems or similar enterprise finance platforms
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
